On the 29th of August 2020, the Mercurna team welcomed a new member: Sander Keij.
Sander is a highly motivated student and has already impressed as a fast learner. He joined Mercurna for his final master internship (TU Eindhoven), where he will apply his previous experience in bacterial protein expression to the synthesis of the next generation of RNA synthesis enzymes. Using state-of-the-art in silico predictions, coupled to smart in vitro validation assays, he will work on further increasing the reliability, yield and purity of our RNA production. So far, Sander is off to a good start to raising the bar in IVT RNA purity.
